Our Campus Minister
About Pastor KellyI am so excited to begin as the new Protestant Campus Minister. As a child I always “knew” that I would be a famous actor and singer. I also “knew” that I would become a missionary. The old saying is that we make plans, and God laughs. I never became famous in the eyes of the world, but I did and still get to use my gifts to sing and teach worship arts to children.
I also realized a gift that God gave me that led me into the world of process management. I had a career throughout the 90’s in process management starting in travel management in the beginning of the internet in Philadelphia area and Columbus, Ohio. It was an exciting time that allowed me to travel and experience countries and places I could have never gone without that connection. In addition to several islands and provinces, I have been to 48 states, parts of Asia, and several European countries. It led me into the world of book manufacturing where I met my husband. Combined, we have 5 children, 2 lovely daughters who were young adults when I met them, 2 wonderful sons now at Millersville University, a sweet daughter getting ready to be in 11th grade and our fluffy yorkie Jack. I was blessed to take time and be a full-time mom to our 3 children. I walked with God and served him most of my life. I answered different calls to ministry throughout my life, but it would be a call in 2008 as I went through cancer that led me to become a United Methodist Licensed Pastor. Today I joyfully serve a church in Espy (a town in Bloomsburg) named Trinity. I am actively involved in the United Methodist Susquehanna Conference, the Bloomsburg Ministerium (consisting of several Christian denominations), and several community service outreach resources. I am also currently attending Lancaster Bible College and Seminary to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. I believe that God has and continues to work in me to create, shape and repurpose all my experiences to meet and lead people to Him. No one is exempt from the great love He has to offer. It is my prayer everyday that I see others as He sees them and that I can open scripture and a relationship to all seeking Him. PCM is intended to be a safe place for all people to be in relationship with the Lord. I hope that God uses my continued desire to seek Him, my past, and my present to continue that intent and to bring scriptural understanding, spiritual prayer, and loving fellowship. |
